Step 1 — Prep & Braid Your Hair

Wash and dry your natural hair thoroughly. Braid your hair into neat cornrows flat against your scalp, leaving a small section at the front for the lace closure. Make sure braids are tight and evenly spaced.

Step 2 — Prepare the Bundles

Take one Burmese curly bundle and measure it against your head from ear to ear. Cut the weft to fit your braid row if needed. You can also fold the weft end for a cleaner finish. Each bundle weighs 120g and has thick full ends.

Step 3 — Sew in the Wefts

Thread your curved needle with black weaving thread. Starting from the nape of your neck, sew the weft onto your cornrow using a blanket stitch or overcast stitch. Sew securely along the entire length of the braid. Continue adding rows upward, spacing them evenly for balanced volume.

Step 4 — Install the Lace Closure

Place the lace closure at the front of your head, aligning it with your hairline. Sew the perimeter of the closure onto your braids securely. Bleach the knots and pluck the hairline for a more natural look if desired.

Step 5 — Style & Finish

Once all bundles and closure are installed, gently fluff and separate the curls with your fingers. Trim any ends if needed to shape your desired hairstyle. You can also apply a small amount of curl-defining cream to enhance the spiral curl pattern.

Soak the bundles in warm water with mild sulfate-free shampoo for 5 minutes, then rinse carefully following the wave direction. Apply hydrating conditioner, let it sit for 5–10 minutes, and rinse thoroughly. Squeeze out excess water gently with a microfiber towel, then hang to air-dry naturally.
